We’ve been working diligently to gain the support of our local elected officials and legislative bodies, and we’ve been lining up a strong backing of great organizations from the local to national stage. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t important for the Livingston Avenue Bridge Coalition to gather support from community members at large. There are several ways to support the walkway:
1. Sign our petition.
2. Spread the word! Follow us on Facebook and Twitter and share our posts.
3. Written comments to NYSDOT should be submitted by April 30, 2014 to David Chan, Program Manager, Project Manager, High Speed Rail Empire Corridor Program, New York State Department of Transportation, 50 Wolf Road, POD #61, Albany, NY 12232. They can be emailed to empirecorridor@dot.ny.gov, or can be submitted online at the project website at www.dot.ny.gov/empire-corridor.
4. Let Governor Cuomo know that you support the Livingston Avenue Bridge Walkway or contact us to obtain postcards that you can mail directly to the Governor.
5. Write a letter to the Editor of your favorite media outlet.
